Mark McMahon is one of America's most versatile and successful artists. His paintings and
drawings are regularly exhibited in museums and galleries in the United States and abroad,
and have also appeared in print and video media, Many are commissions by major
corporations and public agencies for on-location coverage of events and facilities. His
documentary paintings of the launching of the Space Shuttle for NASA have been exhibited
at the Air and Space Museum of the Smithsonian Institution. For Sports Illusfrated, he
created a series of people-focused paintings and drawings of the Indianapolis 500 race,
Three of the most prominent displays of Mark's work are in the Chicago area. A 9' x 44'
ceramic tile mural is at the Chicago Tribune Freedom Center an 8' x 116' ceramic tile
mural is at the corner of Van Buren and Federal Streets, and a series of eight ceramic
tile murals are at O'Hare International Airport.
